I hate Michael Jackson

I slept late in the night and forgot to switch off the TV. As I woke up in the morning my eyes were directly in line with the TV screen on which was a banner head-line “Michael Jackson is Dead”. I thought I must be dreaming and started wondering why the hell I would be dreaming that Michael Jackson is dead. It took me a while to figure out that what I was watching is real and not a dream.

Back in the times when I was in college in Vijayawada, a friend of mine took me to a video parlour to show Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Being constantly fed on a staple diet of Telugu and Hindi songs I was startled to see the unimaginably high standards of picturisation, choreography and above all I was awe-struck by the sheer personality of Michael Jackson. I walked out of the parlour in a daze thinking that he cannot be a real person and he has to be some fantasy form who somehow has taken a human shape. Over the years I saw his various other videos all of which constantly created a higher bench mark than each. In the film industry whenever me and even my other colleagues discuss a song picturisation we invariably used to and even now fall back for inspiration or to copy from his videos.

It was not only his dancing or his singing or even his music, but the sheer power of his presence and the aura around him is what swept me away. I attended his concert in Mumbai along with Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan while I was making Daud. On stage Michael Jackson looked like some being who has come from some other world in outer space as a favour to entertain us for a little while. I never cared or thought about the scandals that surrounded him as what he has done to me and my senses far out weighed anything else he might have done and like I said, for me in my mind he was like a creation of God or whatever that thing which creates when in a very special mood as a very very special gift to mankind.

I hate Michael Jackson.

I hate him for dying and making me realize that he is finally only a human being.

I hate that he too has to breathe to live.

I hate that he too has a heart which can stop like anybody else’s.

I hate that I lived to see a scroll on CNN “Michael Jackson’s body sent to Mortuary”.

I truly truly hate Michael Jackson for becoming a grim reality from a fantastic fantasy.

I love you Michael wherever you are… and I will always love you.

  2. It is Great tribute to Michel Jackson..

  3. Sreeniwas Manoz says:

who of our generation did not move their feet for ‘THEY DON’T REALLY CARE ABOUT US’..who of us did not wanted to pose in front of a mirror tryin to moonwalk like him..who of us did not feel ecstatic when we saw him doin ODYSSEY in the video ‘BLACK OR WHITE’..we all were like “hey look michael jackson is performing an INDIAN DANCE FORM(and that was not for more than 30 secs..but that was enough for us to feel PROUD)..he was a TRUE LEGEND..love you michael

  4. Sreeniwas Manoz says:

well ramu garu, i wanna thank you for this post, cos i never thought ‘YOU’ would get attached to something like this and you made me realise that even ‘YOU’ can be a normal person like us..

  5. Wow..wow..and for writing this I love you Ramu…I had the same feeling about you too..that you are not human..But with this you proved that you too have a heart..a heart that not only beats but reacts.
Thank you for such a note on such a great star MJ.

  6. We love you that you are a human being proving that a super human like you can do anything!

  7. Ramu,

It was interesting to see you hating or loving somebody…. couldn’t hide it after all?

Anyways, one of things that came to my mind about MJ’s news was character of Michael Jackson by Brahmanandam in your movie annaganaga okka roju ( telugu) … it was brilliant… even Brahmanandam acknowledged it changed his career… any thoughts on that character?

  8. deepak.harsha says:

    Hi Ramu,

I have a request. You have worked with Brahmanandam in Money, Anaganaga Oka Roju, Kshana Kshanam…etc. Can we have a note on the laughter legend?

    -Deepak

  9. I often discuss with my friends how you repeatedly use some aspects in your films. Michael Jackson’s presence was very much prevalent in many of your films like Deyyam, Gaayam, Anaganaga Oka roju. More importantly, in Gyaama, the way Kota gets to see MJ for the first time and says ” Een body la springulu geeta unnaya” It’s an amazing way to introduce the sheer power of MJ. An ignorant Kota can understand or feel and know whats an ordinary dance. In your words ” that he cannot be a real person and he has to be some fantasy from who somehow has taken a human shape” is justified through the character Kota.

And after reading the reasons why you hate MJ, I feel you are carelessly caring!

  10. Hey Ramu Please provide an option to send and receive private messages among the blogmates. It was there in windows live.

  11. Everything abt you has changed, atleast in my view, from the time I knew about you, which is close to 20 years… Except your ability of being ‘Unpredictable’… I don’t know how I will feel when you will be the other way.. I wish and hope I will never see that day.

  12. SrinivasReddy says:

I guessed you will write an article about him!!
    Anyway, We all miss MJ.

  13. I was just kind of expecting that u would write something about Michael Jackson and finally much to my satisfaction, u wrote it, thanks Ram. Like many he too was an inspiration for me but the unfortunate thing about his life was he had to die as a loser in life than a winner…..my heartfelt condolences to him. May his soul rest in peace, Amen

    Regards
Naughty Person(who is also a good person at times depending on the CONTEXT)

  14. Ram when MJ died so many people had so many nice things to say about him. I want the same to happen when u die where EVERY PERSON who hated u or loved or ignored u must talk high about u that day. Hope u live up to my expectations!

  15. Heyy Ramu,
Any plans to make a film on Michael Jackson..like as u said in ur blog that MJ as a super natural being who came on this earth to entertain..then sudden tragedy of his death..
U can take his death as a life to ur new story..
    waiting for the reply..;)
    ….Noor.

  16. Hi Ramu sir,I am from hyd. The greatest fan of The Legend “Micheal Jackson ” as well as u.I was very much delighted to read u writing about MJ.I admire, adore and cherish all the films made by you.One day would like to direct movies.I am looking for a great opportunity to prove my talent.I made many trials to reach you directly or indirectly, but none were successfull.I am going to utilise a brilliant opportunity you have offered.Hope to meet you in the future.I would be grateful if i get a chance of even assisting you.

Thank you for the great work you are doing.Go on with ur gr8 work.Looking forward to a spine chiiling experience from agyaat. And also awaiting for Sarkar3-YADI

  17. I always knew u were a fan of Michael after watching your movies but didnt knew that u had such a great impression on him:)

  18. I liked your idea on titling this article:”I hate MJ” in order to draw reader’s attention : )
Hmm .. this is how your mind works while titling a movie too ?

  19. Arun D Khilnani says:

    RGV,
Probably when I read the news ‘Ram Gopla Verma Dead while shooting his new movie’ , I ll too say I hate you for being a fellow oxygen-breather…and love you selfishly wherever you be.

  20. Ramu garu,
Way of your expression was gud… I loved it. :) This is how RAMU stands at expressing or explaining.

Do u feel that u get the same response wen u die? (i m sure, i feel like i lost a library of movie techniques)

  21. Thank you very much Ram for writing this,I really agree with you that MJ must came from some other world in outer space to entertain us.
    We all miss you michael…!
Thanks for all…your music, dance and your wonderful voice…for all!!

  22. I miss him a lot.. but his music and dance will stay in everyone’s heart for ever……I am so sad for this huge loss. he is part of my childhood.. :( Now when he is gone I feel something big amiss.. Damn those who dithered him when he was livin, Damn those who made an outrage of him. and God bless his merciful soul and give him the place in heavens.

  23. hi!
in the film ab tak chappan an informer calls sadhu(nana patekar) saying that ‘firoz ka pata chal gaya’.sadhu goes there to meet the informer. But it is a trap by police to catch sadhu and they succeed in doing that. Now siddiqi(yashpal sharma) wants to encounter sadhu but jatin shukla(nakul vaid) saves sadhu’s life by killing siddiqi. For sadhu this whole thing is unexpected. He doesn’t know it’s a trap.he doesn’t know that jatin shukla would save him.

now my question is: when firoz escaped from police cutody sadhu found him out and killed him the same night.(this is shown very briefly in the film and is revealed by sadhu/nana himself in the climax while cutting the throat of the dubai don). But kept it a secret. So when sadhu receives a call saying that firoz ka pata chal gaya he should know it can not be true.then why he walks into the trap?If he incase wanted to be captured by police so that the dubai don zameer would believe sadhu is in trouble then he could have simply stayed in his home when police came there to arrest him which happens to be just the previous scene.

  24. A lovely gifted soul is gone. Let him rest in peace.

  25. @Ocean11: Your description about urself in ur blog is TOO LONG, dont u think u are BOASTING ur ego indrectly? Can i do in ur blog what i do here at times?

  26. Hi i want to work with you

  27. @sha_217@ You are at the wrong place….try other MEANS…this WILL NOT WORK….
Ps: If u are wondering how i know, then let me tell u the truth – Ram spoke to me in person last week. He told me that why would he be so stupid enough to start a blog to go through the “torture” of being stalked for chances like in real life and i know for sure he is NOT stupid, but what i HATE about u is that u chose the EASY WAY to get what u want which i am afraid will NOT get u what u desire.

“If the path is beautiful, ask where it leads….but if the destination is beautiful, dont ask how the path is”

  28. let MJ rest in peace n promise me u won’t die before u complete 200 movies.

  29. There is no point brooding over Michael Jackson’s death cause he was dead long back in the early 90’s when he stopped making music videos and albums. His physical death was just a confirmation. If it was his work until then which has mesmerized us, then it will continue to because youtube hasn’t died yet.

  30. @vishwesh: but u forgot to ask him NOT to make aags, darlings, shivs etc in those 200(better not to make a film than make such films)
Ps: i liked ur description on RGV in ur photo gallery but why did u miss description on some crucial pics(you could have made it hilarious). Shall i finish ur unfinished job?

  31. @johnlocke: Nobody is brooding over MJ’s death here(go and brush up ur vocabulary so that u dont misuse words- yes brooding was NOT the right word in this context). We all are paying our respects to the GREATEST TALENT that ever saw the face of earth and what better occasion than this to do so and esp after Ram brought his topic? Your physical death confirmation thing reminds me of the dialogue the protaganist’s mother says after killing her son in the movie Vaastav. Yes its sad that he had to go through a lot of turmoil in his personal/professional life in the recent years and die in such circumstances, esp after being the UNDISPUTED KING OF POP and living a KING SIZE LIFE. We all love/miss u MJ. May your soul rest in peace, Amen!
    Regards
Naughty person(who can be emotional attimes depending on the CONTEXT/people)

  32. “When we are born we are like piglets…naked and crying….but when we die, we die as Gandhi or Hitler or Einstein or (now) Michael Jackson” ———————– By somebody named Keshav in RGV’s Blog. (I added MJ’s name to Keshav’s great comment)

Now the question(s) is(are) how many people knew MJ’s Birthday before June 25th. (I am sure there are many people who might have searched wikipedia or some website to know more about MJ after June 25th).

How many people remembered MJ from 2000 to 2009 untill his death.

How many people cared for him after he stopped making music.

It is his ACHIEVEMENTS that we talk about NOT HIS BIRTHDAY.

It is his DEATH that has been gloryfingly magnified NOT HIS BIRTHDAY.

I AM SURE PEOPLE WILL REMEMBER HIS DEATHDAY MORE than his birthday.

Many Many Happy returns on your Deathday MJ, we all will love you. HAPPY DEATHDAY MJ

  33. @naughty person: Shukriya bhai.

  34. Yaar, whenever you write about anyone, be it Satyendra or Rifle or Rahman or Michael Jackson, it is always heartfelt and it comes out like that as well. By the way, whatever you wrote bout MJ, we also felt pretty much the same. You put it out in words and put it out well.

Those americans, most of them, they live life they want to. Therefore they realize the truth of life faster. A thing about Americans, is that they dedicate their lives to trying to be the best in their fields and eventually end up a Fred astaire or MJ. Out here in India, we are just awed about things that MJ can do on stage (and well off stage). Rock stars were always looked up to, with everyone wanting to live their lives and amazed at how their songs touch us. Some of them touch us more than others. Beatles, U2 and MJ are among them.

  35. By the way, the options that your new blog site offers is amazing!

  36. Oye hoy kya baat hai, Naya Ghar, Nayee B….., & Naya RAMU

  37. Bye-Bye M.J….. Best wishes. it’s been so good to see you alive. but nature always win. not you could… and not even Varma could win against.

  38. “……….and like I said, for me in my mind he was like a creation of God or whatever that thing which creates when in a very special mood as a very very special gift to mankind”

    Ramu
why did you quote ‘God’ in your comment?

Is there is a small fraction of “theist” Ramu in Ram Gopal Varma. is that because of that small fraction of theist Ramu, you felt the shock in Shiamak Dawar;s words that he could see the un-seen, you believed that small boy’s words who could stunned you with his actions. May be because of that small fraction of theist Ramu, you said in one of the interview’’s that although you never experienced this extra-supernatural activity but we cannot dismiss the experience someone else had with this God/Devil/Evil

Is that the reason you made movies like Govinda Govinda, Raathri, Phoonk where the power of “god” wins over evil.

May be that is the reason you said “he was like a creation of God” and followed the sentence with “or whatever that thing which creates……”

  39. Re your “Happy DeathDay” post

“And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but its sinking
And racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in the relative way, but youre older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death”

  40. It feels refreshing to read this after reading TOI’s crap blog about MJ-the magician.
    Thanks.

  41. The CAMERA as a PEN – JUNE 26, 2009
The best thing about this article is its like a yummy delicious dish whose smell itself is so aromatic that u cant resist the temptation to binge on it but the sad thing is u have given us so little of this scrumptious item that u have left us wanting for more and dissatisfied in the process. Hope ur gratify our crave by writing more on the technicalities of film making and films but nevertheless thanks for this piece.
PS: I find this blog much better than ur old one esp the font of our comments section is good unlike the old one where the font that was given to us was terrible and by the way why are u looking so serious in ur profile pic when ironically u give such a ultra cool impression in ur blog. Comeon put that u-reaching-orgasm kind of expression pic on ur profile.

  42. Cant say more that what the readers have already verbalize about MJ. I have a small story to tell and this has nothing to do with MJ, just thought of sharing it with u guys, here it is. A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university lecturer. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the lecturer went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups:porcelain, plastic, glass, some plain looking and some expensive and exquisite, telling them to help themselves to hot coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the lecturer said: “If you noticed, all the nice looking, expensive cups were taken up,leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves , that is the source of your problems and stress. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the better cups and are eyeing each other’s cups.”

“Now, if Life is coffee, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, but the quality of Life doesn’t change. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee in it.
So folks, don’t let the cups drive you… enjoy the coffee instead!”

  43. @Naughty Person…
Yup, u can scribble in my blog too…
    u r always welcome. :)

  44. He spread happiness through his music and dance. He mesmerised people though his sheer presence. People would be in daze after watching his performance. Unarguably, one of the greatest entertainers in the world. He was part of my childhood and teen years. I would imitate his moves. I had a poster of him on the wall. I listen to his music and try to dance like him. I cried for him as he was very special to me. As Ramu said, he is and will always remain a special gift to mankind. Rest in peace MJ. We all love you.

  45. Ashvin Sagar says:

I am not greatly fascinated to music, unless it greatly demands in a movie, may be a back ground score or music which really intensifies a particular scene. But when it’s MJ it’s completely different, I really felt very bad and will miss him dearly….

I remember the scene where Brahmanandam introduces himself as Jackson…Michael Jackson and a background score of MJ’s music…..we’ll miss all of it…!!!

  46. Sarkar movie seems to be greatly influenced by the “novel – The Godfather” rather than the “movie – The Godfather” whereas the movies Satya and Company seem to be influenced by the “movies – Goodfellas and Casino”.

In other words, you have great respect for the narrating skills of Mario Puzo than the directorial vision of Francis Ford Coppola. Also, you seem to respect Martin Scorsese more than others.

  47. In Shiva, the character JD is just like another Hitler. JD was coward but to raise above all, he used Bhavani’s men. However, it came to face the reality (police or Shiva) he ran away from city just like Hitler who committed suicide.

Bhavani was more like Himmler who’s ideas Hitler executed just like JD who was the tool whom Bhavani used to cast the fear.

  48. “in my mind he was like a creation of God” :) The mighty RGV is a human after all! Its OK .. every one (even though you don’t agree that you are part of “everyone”) remembers god in hard times.

    RIP MJ!

  49. at LAST you are predictable…this writing “I hate MJ” is really funny as you wrote it..

  50. In Kshana Kshanam, was the song “muddhimandhi bugga,….” inspired from hindi song “Kaante nahi katthe ye din ye raath” of Mr. India?

The rain, bluish green saree of Sridevi, dry grass pile, night situation etc etc all seems to be inspired from Mr. India song.

    ——————————————————————————————————————–

You gave two tributes in Kshana Kshanam
    1. Sridevi (your cinematic goddess)
    2. Satya (your emotional influence)

  51. I hate you for being writing such a great description on MJ..
I hate you for being a good writer than me…

  52. On MJ,
The benchmark for videos set up by Micheal are very high which cant be breached by anyone in the near future,, as said by you,, it involves the process of thought which Micheal had,, His passion can been seen when he applied for the patent of shoes, if Ramu goes and patents his shoes c what the world would do to him, i think he visualised his videos to the future, come back and made them in the present.. What we c today is that the Indian promos are far better than the movies. Hope someday a good promo maker is making a good movie,, to become MJ one has to have the futuristic vision. Yes I hate him too he must have got another CHANCE to entice, seduce us AGAIN.

    May he REST IN PEACE

  53. prakash.gowda says:

Your post was quite a revelation. Never knew you, too, were an MJ fan. Sounds wierd, but were you / or are you a good dancer in your college days? Were you known for any talent back those days?

PS: This blogsite looks really good, with shades of grey :)

    Regards

    Prakash Gowda

  54. I’m surprised, I’m happy reading this. Not because you wrote about MJ. MJ is just like any other famous personality to me who comes in news for something or the other. I’m surprised because you wrote it with so much pain.

I never thought you care for somebody so much so that you will say u hated something/ some one.

What you said about MJ applies to you for me. And you have proved with this that you are very human just like all of us and you too have a heart that beats and feels for somebody /something.

    I’M SURPRISED.

  55. Ramu, why dont you give a chance to Shalini in your movies?

  58. Rangeela with out Ramu, Rangeela with out ARR, Rangeela with out Urmila…. which would be the worst, which would be the best ?

  59. @Sripal Sama: It is like asking by showing a building, which one is best – building without engineer, building without workers or building without funds.

  60. @Sripal Sama: Ok a straight answer for ur satisfaction.
Best – Rangeela without ARR( in this worst case scenario out of the 3 available options)
Worst – Rangeela without Ram(he can get another actress to do the role of mili but without Ram there is no Rangeela in the first place)
Avg – Rangeela without Urmi(and u know the answer why)

  62. @Sripal Sama: Yes moderation should be back in action to avoid posting DUMB questions like u did. Dont be so jealous of my intelligence, mind u every dog has its day. ?

  65. You can make the pig fly, if you convince him to take himself lightly. Alternatively the pig can watch you and learn the same :P

  66. Let me rephrase

You can make the pig fly, if you convince him to take himself lightly enough. Alternatively an intelligent pig can watch you and learn the same :P

  67. It was October 5th 1993 evening. I was preparing to travel from Hyderabad to Chennai for some work related to a film I was making at that time. I was in bedroom packing my clothes. I could guess that Satya, in her yellow saree, was standing near the door. Rain showers just started with intermittent thunders

Why cant you postpone your Chennai trip. Tomorrow is my Birthday” Satya said.

“Satya, I have to go. Its important to record the songs in Chennai” I replied and continued to pack my clothes.

Satya closed her eyes for few seconds and then depressingly said “Is the work more important than my birthday. Earlier you used to greet my birthday even before 12.00 midnight but after you became director, you are almost ignoring me” .

At that moment I turned back to see Satya. With the thunderbolt lighting I could see her in anger rather than in dissapoinment. I asked her ” tell me what was so important about your birth in the first place” I walked close to her and further told her “I don’t celebrate my own birthday inspite of achieving whatever I have, whereas you have achieved nothing and why are you so gung-ho about wanting to celebrate your birth”

She was angry Her eyes almost filled with tears

But I continued my anger on her by saying “If you think the mere fact that you are born calls for a celebration, don’t forget that when your parents had sex, the last thing that they would have had on their minds while doing it was to conceive you in particular. On the other hand your dad under temptation could have gone to a prostitute and that particular spermatozoa through which that woman might have conceived could have been you and you could have ended up in a miserable brothel. In effect when you have absolutely no control or no contribution in the process of what, who and why someone gave you birth, why should you make such a big deal about celebrating it?”

at that moment thunders just cracked, the thunder light fell on her face and I could feel that she wanted to kill me at that moment. Needless to say she slapped me.

An ambassador car just stopped in front of the home. I took my luggage and just went out the door. I opened the car door in anger. Car started and headlights were on (light flashes on camera therefore whole screen turn white now with that light)

(that white light is now sky) a plane just landed in Chennai airport.
Its busy airport (background some anouncing about plane arrivals)

(Camera almost at ground level) Ramu is walking towards outside *with his bag in hand and legs with shoes shown on screen) Just when Ramu walked to gate, a car stopped in front of him and he got into it. Car slipped into busy Chennai road
    —————————————————————————————————————–

A phone is ringing in an office. “Hello….Yes….what?????…are you sure……Oh my god” said the man who answered the call and hung up the phone

(Camera is just behind the phone with the person’s hand on receiver. phone is shown clearly and the entrance door as blurr) and from a little distance Ramu walked into the office (now Ramu is shown clearly by blurring the phone on the same screen shot)

The person said in a low shocking voice” Ramu sir. Your Satya madam committed suicide”.

Ramu is shocked (background music is playing in high pitch)

    ———————————-INTERMISSION——(intermission is typed on screen)

    Ramu bhai,

I am not into philosophy kind of stuff and its way over my head but just curious to know how would you react to your above situation. Lets assume that person committed suicide with your birthday statement on her. what would be your reaction and how would you deal with situation

  74. Ramu,

Could n’t agree more on MJ.
may his soul rest in peace.

  75. How is that we can not delete our own comments here ????

  76. @autojaani

Dude…..in your story, When Ramu hears the bad news…..I must say …..i was struck ….even though it was for a moment….i felt sad…..

Even though i knew these were the same lines that Ramu used in his blog earlier and u expanded it a little further…..though i have no clue about how satya looked or how she as a person is…..my heart felt sad the moment you killed her in u r script……

I think this one factor of humans feelings for others dismissal from this world makes us different from any other living thing on this world…..

I am sure this is the same factor that made Ramu write this article on MJ, as he is just like one of us…..Ramu, what says you?

  77. Grew up with MJ. Had his Thriller video and was the envy of the street/school/everybody we knew.
He defined English music for me.
    Never cared about the scandals.
39 out of 50 years in the public eye, admittedly a lull when the Beatles were ruling but still fame was his before then. Too much of a life given to others.
Don’t know whether he is at peace, but atleast he is out of pain…only consolation!!!
    Love you MJ.

  78. @Sripal Sama: You CANNOT delete ur comments and dont feel guilty about it. I will tell u something, not everyone is born intelligent. Follow my comments, u will become one soon.
Ps: I have written something in ur blog, go through it and do the needful.
@Surya: So boring and out of place….grow up pal

The background score is a very potent tool for creating moods for a particular scene that the director wants to, and also drive the emotions in the direction the director wants to.

But what can happen when the background score becomes foreground score, intentionally or unintentionally ? Can it have effects, other the which the director is creating ? Or even ill effects ?

    Ramu,
Do you mind banning “Naughty Person” from the message board… He/ She seems to have become your alter ego here – name-dropping and behaving like your clone (minus the brain)… Poor guy/ gal seems to believe that he/she could bask a while in the extended glory… Please put that person out of misery…

I have to agree with you on this piece. I mean, if you were to really look at his close-up photographs and imagine what lay behind those curls and the made-up/ill face, you may find it quite unsavory, “but”, you never really get to that point. His Karma was to entertain all of us without distinction. What he showed us in concerts and in his music videos is the reality as most of us accept and that really is enough for most of us. Nothing else – the troubled childhood, the scandals, the spending habits, the debts, the change in religion, and what have you – really matters.
For me, Michael Jackson means that charisma and electrifying energy that we saw in concerts and videos and grew up trying to emulate before mirrors in closed rooms.
To summarise, I suppose, he did his thing and went his way, leaving behind a body of work that will stand the test of time, and continue to inspire generations that are open to being fascinated by dance.

  84. Auto Jaani,

Are you a Pak govt sponsored agent commissioned to induce suicide through your blog comments?

Here is a scene for you to picture and put back here for us:

    - AutoJaani is sitting on a bus.
    - Autojaani is lustfully looking at a woman breast feeding her child on the opposite seat.
    - Autojaani walks up to the woman with the photograph of Gandhiji
    - Autojaani tells the woman that its never too early to teach young children the virtue of sharing.

Needless to say she slaps him. And he makes a deft chinese jump under the bus tyre to commit suicide.

    * wipes his eyes of overflowing tears for cinematic brilliance*

  85. @Naughty person

Yeah, I was actually hoping that you would endorse me with your approval.

    * wipes his tears and begs for a second chance *

  86. micale jackson ,, KING OF POP ! music, dance, lyric every thing done by him alone ! amazing ICON ! an ICON leaves for ever !

rgv do you know sumthing its not just hindi cinema who copy, even HOLLY WOOD films too.

there are few hollywood films copied from hindi cinema too. they take out the songs and fill it with
comedy and a bit of sex too.. and make the film fun and it runs !

  87. Mr.Naughty person the asshole. Your parents must not name you or you have multiple fathers. First go and find which orgasm made you? Then answer the blog. I dont think if Ramu had on it. Ramu did you? is that the reason to take advantage on your bolg?

  88. Ramu, U look like a murderer. Why dont u appear in of ur movies as a murderer?

  89. @Surya:

    Grow up Kid.

  90. @Surya:

You are just jealous on an Auto driver’s story telling ability.

Whole world lies beneath me and my zarathustra ———-RGV’s quote from “Thus Spoke Zarathustra”

  91. HI RGV,

Nice one!!…MJ was definitely a phenomenon ..larger than life in true sense…sure he was a blessed one…sad that he died so early.. at least he should have finished his return tour….could have been really massive!!!

  92. @Auto Jaani

    “Grow up kid”

Ok Kid, as soon as you decide to grow up, we can do it together.

    “You are Jealous”

Right, and the whole world is below you. hahahahaha – cute. Nice sense of humor.

  93. @Auto Jaani

BTW when does Nana patekar enter the scene and shout “Saala ek dialog aaurat ko suicide kara deta hai”??

  94. Ramu – I think your “I, Me, Myself” factor is missing in your comments section. Contrary to this people (may be me too) started talking to each other.
Don’t you wanna do something about it, in order to divert the attention towards you ??

  95. @Surya:

……hahahahaha – cute. Nice sense of humor.

I am very happy that I brought a smile in your life.

  96. Ok..here is the 100th comment. My good friend MSK hates it when I write silly/junk comments like this ;o))

    Sorry, MSK..just couldn’t resist..take it easy..;o)))

  97. who is this MSK guy ?!?!?!??

  99. Hi Ramu,
Looks like there is a combined effort by some of my friends here on this blog to make you ask me to get out of the blog. Before that happenes and I get devastated, please post some thing else. ;o)

  100. Shalini – At what frequency do you refresh (F5) the comments page ?? ha ha : )

  101. @ Auto Jaani

Ya, we could always do with more jokers like you ;)

    * feels sentimental looking at the clown trying to sound profound *

    * shudders at the thought that you suck on the same thumb everyday *

All that, and alternatively of course, you can also try to look at what you are trying to dramatize in your scene ;)

  102. The above comment actually contains some meaning if you ask me ;)

  103. Fukk it Ramu, it’s sucks when we can’t delete our own comments which were already posted !!!! dddhhhgggghhhhh !!!

  104. Finally Ramu LOVES someone…..Why? What happened to your HIGHLY INTELLECTUAL thoughts about not LOVING anyone except yourself?????

  105. Hi Ramu,
I really Liked the way u shot first scene of Vishnu in Sarkar from back.how you come up with that idea ?

  106. mikeyiconoclast says:

Two of the legends that U mentioned,A.R.REHMAN and Michale jackson captivated the world in their respective fields.U often claim that catering to the entire audiences is some thing that u think is near impossible for the sheer diversity in terms if sensibilities.Fair enough,i agreed with that. How could it be possible that still u have the likes of A.R.REHAMAN,michale jackson could please whole lot of generations with their art.I reckon film making (mean movie here) is an amalgamation of different crafts, like music, back ground score, dance, story, screenplay, dialogues. Is it the nature of movie that one can not cater to the entire section of audiences while music/dance are individual entities that makes it possible for a universal appeal.

  107. mikeyiconoclast says:

U inspire whole lot of film maker wannabes.what is that we gotta unlearn from you?

  108. prithvirajonline says:

    Hi Ramu,

MJ news hit me like a big bolt when the TV scroll said “KING OF POP IS DEAD” . Micheal Jackson was the one who inspired me to listen to English pop.I used to steal my brother’s Walkman and secretly listen to MJ music. He was amazing entertainer and no one can actually replace him.He is truly ” Global superstar” who entertained everyone around the world.May his soul Rest in Peace.

  109. i too was a huge fan of MJ….his moonwalk was the best….now the moonwalk doesn’t look good at all with the little paunch that i have :)……….had a big poster of his at home when i was in school

  110. Sowmya Sharma says:

I hate him too for being so real! reality sucks! Imagination is more powerful and beautiful than reality.
What an irony that some people want to turn their blissful imagination into ****ing reality! and most times it gets so inevitable that we will have to live witnessing our own fantasies crash and asking us deeper and nonsensical questions questions.

  111. Ok sir. Yes Sir. Alright Sir.

  112. Yesasvi Chowdary.B says:

I am thrilled that you got struck. Thanks Sree

  116. The entire reason because of his childhood experiences. If the person grown up with gud family then he/she will be atleast try to get strength from them. The same case with Mike Tyson also. I saw these people in the mounts like everest. But becoz of their nature they lost all their properties, misbehavior.
But any how they are legends in their fields. We don’t need to compare with their personal life. Because MJ will the in the peoples heart for ever

Wah!! Twisting philosophies ?wow…Ramuism is finally having an effect!!

  121. Hey Arun,

On Ram Gopal Varma: : There is definetely a tremendous and immense influence of Ramu on me (my brother, my friend music director Vijay Kurakula and my school senior director Shekar Suri).

On Ramuisms: : Trust me, I have no idea who Frederick Nietszche, Ayn Rand and many more authors whom RGV quoted here. After getting into this blog, I could visualize all those authors nature/personalities by reading Ramu bhai’s quotes from their book. Sometimes I feel Ram Gopal Varma is the amalgamation of all those authors. Moreover, I am not at all into philosophy kind of stuff but I am connecting some of my life’s incidents with Ramu bhai’s philosophical quotes..

Yes. Ramuisms are working on me and for me.

    .

  122. Ramu bhai:

Which is that movie/story after watching/reading ignited a passion for direction in you. When/how did you get into “Yes, I have to become a director” moment?.

  123. Dear Ram Gopal Varma
Do you really read all these comments? If time permits try to read the book ” Straw Dogs” by John N Gray. Interesting book.

This is one of most idiotic questions ever asked in this blog….come on cheer up, ur question deserves such an answer(nothing personal, strictly professional…chill)

  128. Objectivismus says: Ramu, Do you mind banning “Naughty Person” from the message board. He/ She seems to have become your alter ego here – name-dropping and behaving like your clone (minus the brain)? I agree on this piece.
SORRY ur request cannot be consented, try some other means/way. So u want to become Ram’s alter ego or what? by the way why is that u are so jealous of me and my so called “minus the brain” intelligence.
Ps: Who cares if u agree on this piece, come on go and eat good day biscuits and read Ayn rand books and…..

Surya says: Yeah, I was actually hoping that you would endorse me with your approval.
I blog only when i think a query needs to be answered as per the nature of the Q which deserves the “required” response.

  129. I really liked the way you wrote tribute to MJ…..your feelings are INTENSE and show true emotion….I think MJ is a child at HEART. The saddest thing of his demise is that…He left the world woth out performing his THIS IS IT come back show……..it happened to his life.

  130. mikeyiconoclast says:U inspire whole lot of film maker wannabes.what is that we gotta unlearn from you?

    Wow.

kushal shah says:hey ramu can u write a piece on importance of craft in film making???????can audience fail to notice craft if content is strong and gripping?
I guess thats what Ram is doing in this blog. If craft means the TECHNIQUE in ur definition, then YES because the audience does not care about shot divisions, camera angles and other technical stuff. It’s only the narration they connect to(which should be gripping), but then it can’t be as simple as the writer sitting in the theatre and narrating the story to the people. Hence technique in cinema when done right, should be inseparable from narration.

  132. imeka says:You should have the comments feature disabled… You don’t need feedback (as you said it in other posts!)

  133. @Naughty Person – Please post some of your sex queries. This time you have a good excuse to not delete the comments, if requested by any nice guys on the blog

The one which .. the guys goes to a shop asking for a viagra and the shopkeeper shouts out loud and this guy run from that place ..: ) ha hahahaha … love that one

  134. Dear Ramu Sir, first of all I thank ur blog for creating such a facility. Though we are flooded with information relating to sex, one will be really confused reading all the things on the Internet. Hence the expert view is necessary. In my opinion, sexual education must be started from plus-two level. Coming to my question i am 33 years old. Since my early twenties I’ve found it very easy to maintain an erection while masturbating or if indulging in sexual activity with a new partner (due to the excitement of a new contact). However, now that I am married (5 years now) I find it difficult to maintain a strong erection and hence find it difficult to penetrate the vagina. I either have erectile dysfunction or it could be a mere psychological problem, which prevents a proper erection for me. I look 5 years younger than my real age, am athletic and good looking. I guess girls must be thinking I am a Greek god in bed, but I’m NOT.This has messed up my love life and after many failed attempts, my wife and me stopped having sex 2 years ago (this is also in part due to other reasons like not getting along etc). Recently on a trip overseas I picked up Viagra and had sex with a female colleague, the Viagra helped me get a proper erection and I could do it 2 or even 3 times in a row.
Now the problem is, it’s difficult to obtain Viagra in India, at one store where they had it the chemist loudly asked for a doctor’s prescription and I ran from there.
Ps: Anything for u dear Sree venkat(one more for u from my side)

  135. DEAR RAMU DOCTOR, I HAVE A VERY SMALL AND WEAK PENIS, LENGTH IS ONLY 2 INCHES AND THICKNESS IS HARDLY 1 INCH AND MY MARRIAGE IS SETTLED. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

  139. @Naughty. Your answers to some questions are really funny. I have questions why are u a naughty person and are u a boy or gal and why is that small gal feeling sad….liked ur hysterical questions and waiting now for the answers from our spl expert….keep going…haa ha ;o))

  140. Hi Ramu,
Thats a cool picture on the main page. But I liked the other one better. This pic makes you look older.
BTW, when can we expect a new post??

  141. MJ made my life richer by connecting to his gift of melody. That is a true entertainer. I’m no RGV, but I’ve written my own piece on http://www.smalljoysunlimited.blogspot.com- do check it out.

  142. gouravaraju says:

    Especially cause you are smiling.
Also I think you looked better when you wore glasses. Why don’t you post pictures from your younger days?? Plzzz

  144. Oh! What a way to pay tributes to a legend. When my friend Vijay sent me this title ‘ I hate MJ ..’ carried in your blog , I knew for sure that you must have used your creative mind behind such a title aptly given to your write-up. Indeed, it is well written piece that deserves the attention of all .
    -Ulhas

  145. I also like your new blog better. It looks cool and also the readers don’t have profiles and will not be able to send and receive private messages. Thank you for changing the sites.

But is it possible to enable the delete option on the comments??

  148. Arun, I so agree with you.

  149. Arun D Khilnani says:

    RGV,

I had to read The Fountainhead twice to actually understand it.Its a revolting book. The first read was really intriguing with prospects of opening Pandora’s box of altruism’s defects. The second one showed how evil it was.Di you ever feel a ‘I am raped’ kind off feeling after reading it ? I mean did you feel like you were taught to ‘be good’ by a society ’so evil’ by constantly asking you to give away yourself ?

  150. Arun D Khilnani says:

    RGV,

Do you ever use your real-life incidents in your movies ? I mean like conversations with people, women and others alike into your movies ?

  151. Arun D Khilnani says:

    RGV,

Have you ever felt a kind of joy in sadness? I mean a sweet taste of being alone, that feeling of loneliness that sadness brings, when a women that you loved leaves you, or a plan of yours which never worked out? That feeling of exaltation, of freedom which only sadness can offer ? We all know how sexy it is to be happy, but I always felt sadness has its own share of joy which it can offer. Any reaction ?

P.S : My friends too call me a ‘weirdo’. I don’t know what I have written above makes any rational sense, but its just the way I feel.

  152. anyhow he made THRILLA..THRILLAA..

  154. Please write a blog on Chiranjeevi and the shelved film with him in ur direction

  156. i don’t respect mike tyson……he may be one of the best boxers the world has ever seen…

a person no matter how good he is in his profession ….if he shows no character and integrity …then he is no good for me ….i don’t care if he/she is a genius at something

for example if my favs like amitabh, rahman, sachin …were to commit such crimes and convicted….i’ll lose respect for them…….

  157. Hello Varma garu,
There was an instance (15 years back, I guess) when I actually talked demeaningly about MJ’s work just to provoke a friend of mine who happened to be a struggling artist (painter). I had not even seen MJ’s legendary Bad or Thriller albums at that point and yet here I was generously passing on my judgement. My friend got so angry that I was amazed at how he came up with this dialogue – ‘What are you saying? That rhythm, that dance and coordination, that passion and energy is just mind-blowing. All that struggle and hardwork clearly shows. I’m not taking it if people like you discount all of it just like that.” My friend had actully verbalized the thoughts that I had in mind about MJ and I happily agreed with him.
For me personally, your article on Satyendra was much more interesting than the one on Machael Jackson with due respect(s) to Michael Jackson.

  158. Hello Varma garu,
About someone’s suggestion on making a movie about Satyendra, you reacted saying you cannot because Satyendra is a mind thing. I understand that you wanted to express how deep and amazing a guy Satyendra is, thru your reaction. But I guess you do know – that there is nothing in this world on which you cannot do an interesting movie. It all depends on how we approach the subject.
An artist(painter) friend of mine, while discussing about painting once said to me that every art-form has some merits and handicaps. Within the boundaries of these handicaps how best you express is what art is all about.
Actually the boundaries themselves are like these rules of chess. They force people to get creative.
It even gets better with movies. You get to make and break the rules and get creative in doing that too!

  159. SrinivasReddy says:

    I don’t give a fuck about celeb’s character.
Suppose i love ramu’s movies or sachin’s cover drive or whatever , i will just search what is there that made them to great heights and check whether it suits for my professional life ; if it suits then use it and move on!!
If you want a good character guy, then why shouldn’t you turn on to GOD or Mr.PURE instead of looking up to celebs?
They are also human’s who has ALL traits like all of us except qualities which made them to those heights.
    PS:No offense meant to anyone!!

  160. @ Arun D Khilnani and Naughty Person

In addition to “Ramuisms”, I am also learning from so many people here in this blog. In life, there is always something to learn from each one of them and people around you/me. remember, Evolution is a continuous process.

“Man has no ears for what experience has not taught him already. If he agrees he knows it already.” – Friedrich Nietzsche (quoted by RGV)

Meaning of the above quote: ” …..buss aisehi boldiya” (Govind Namdeo in Sarkar Raj)

  161. RGVP,
It is very sad to know that MJ is no more and your blog item shows that you have very special place in your heart about MJ.
I would like to know.. during your college days..

    2) which director you liked in telugu industry KViswanath, Vamsy , Bapu or KRaghavendra Rao..?
    3) whom do you think is best performer (actor) during that period

  173. I saw the same passion of MJ when you made AAG,

wiki says that “The song Billie Jean was mixed by Bruce Swedien ninety-one times—unusual for Swedien, who usually mixed a song once. Jones had told Swedien to create a drum sound that no one had ever heard before. The audio engineer was also told to add a different element, “sonic personality”. “What I ended up doing was building a drum platform and designing some special little things, like a bass drum cover and a flat piece of wood that goes between the snare and the hi-hat”, Swedien later wrote. “The bottom line is that there aren’t many pieces of music where you can hear the first three or four notes of the drums, and immediately tell what the piece of music is.” He concluded, “But I think that is the case with ‘Billie Jean’—and that I attribute to sonic personality.”

The Guardian the news paper reflected that “more thought went into the production of this single than would go into the entire recording careers of Axl Rose, Coldplay, Shania Twain or Gwen Stefani”.

how many of us have the passion to remake, reshot, mix for 91 times??? Tough isnt it,,

    MUSIC, MOVE, MAGIC sums MJ.

  174. Great tribute for all time great

I hardly cares about the scandles that floated around MJ.
TY RGV for this great tribute

  175. mpk.bharadwaj says:

    Really Touching Post Sir..

“NEEVOO MAAVALE MANISHIVANI, NEEKOO MARANAM VUNNADANI, ANTE.. ELA NAMMEDI. ANUKONI, ELAA BRATIKEDI… BABA SAIBAABAA” I think yours is the English Version of these lines from Vijaychander’s Saibaba.

MJ is really worth for being treated as God in the Modern Western Music & Dance Field.

My words are not enough to express how heart breaking that incident was but I’m happy to know that he has the name ‘RGV’ in his fans list.. I didn’t expect this article from u..

Our Words may differ, but everyone’s heart says the above telugu lines for MJ..

  176. This is the best article… I like it more than satya, company, shiva.

  177. “I truly truly hate Michael Jackson for becoming a grim reality from a fantastic fantasy.”

So nicely put! Will miss you, MJ….
