My Take On Sarkar Raj
At the outset I want to make it clear that “Sarkar Raj” has nothing to do with “Godfather-2″. It also does not take off from where “Sarkar” ended. In the life of a man like Sarkar there are bound to be so many incidents which will give raise to new complex situations. So for want of a better word I would like to describe it as the new adventures of the Sarkar family.
For me the Sarkar films are about framing and showcasing the aura of power.
I employed each and every aspect of the various techniques of the film medium whether it is the music or dialogue or cinematography for one and only one purpose – that is to capture the intensity in the actors eyes, through which we see a world of high drama be it politics, treachery, revenge, passion, courage, love and above all relationships.
Sarkar Raj is much bigger than Sarkar in scale mainly because the issues and character conflicts it deals with are much more complex and intriguing than in the 1st Part.
I pushed the upper limits of technique in every which way to make each frame and sound to vibrate with power. But no technique is of any value unless it is backed by performances.
I have always believed that there is no greater cinematic visual than an actor performing in a tight close-up. The faces of the three Bachchan’s in Sarkar Raj are the ultimate testimony of that.

Power cannot be given
It has to be taken -Very correct

Only RGV can present a Master Art like Sarkar Raj.
Brilliant!

This movie is mediocre. Ramu is nothing but a trickster. Imagine this movie without the big names. Madhur Bhandarkar does a better job with subjects like this without the hype. First of all someone tell the bg music director the importance of the most important sound, the silence. Then tell Ramu about how powerful and serious are two different things and you have failed as a director if you have to make your characters look serious to show how powerful they are.
As far as characterization goes, only Sarkar’s Wife and Somji are consistent. Aish’s bad acting competes only with her amateurish characterization. The dialogues are meaningless most of the time. I never thought of Amitabh as a good actor. He continues being the same. Ramu if ever you feel that you belong in hollywood, just remember that you would not even be good for making a TV episode let alone a movie.

— i think nobody might have expected about king RGV that he will
make a very serious movie which will surpass SHIVA, interms of history…
that is nothing otherthan SARKAR
— and of course SARKAR RAJ is much sexier than SARKAR, interms of technical
perception of audience, like me.
— most interesting thing about RGV is his interviews and his words are much impressing
than his movies.

my favorite scenes in sarkar raj, are by order :
- the moment abhishek bachchan dies… why an aggressive power dies was shown by
rgv in a very very beautiful manner… in this intensive care room scene, amitabh gives
almost full hope to abhishek’s dying spirit on the bed with his speech.
but when he spells a lie in front of aishwarya, that doctor said abhishek is going to
recover very soon, and aish cannot resist the outcome of mixed feelings about survival of
abhishek and cries loudly and abhishek hears it and overpowered by fear in that state
die immediately.
actually this scene can be interpreted in so many ways. i.e. between three powers or between man and a woman or interms of mafia mind of aishwarya, which killed abhishek
without any outsider even guessing that she was sent by sakar’s opposite mafia. this will be revealed in third part of sarkar movies. i know very well…. dear rgv…
