Just posting a video of ‘PHOONK 2′
Youtube Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIbnwBwmSNk
The song tune is inspired from one of my all time favourite pieces of music of the Italian composer Ennio Morricone. He did this theme for the film ‘Exorcist II: The Heretic’.
Incidentally Morricone is also the composer for a great number of cult western themes including ‘The Good, the Bad and the Ugly‘ and ‘For a few Dollars more’.
I first heard the music of ‘Exorcist II’ in Nagarjuna’s house before I became a Director and I got obsessed with it, so obsessed I am with it that I have already used versions of it in various films of mine and I will keep using it one way or the other forever.
The main notes of the song which Jayasudha sings ‘O Jabilli’ in ‘Deyyam’ are literally the notes created by Morricone whereas the ‘PHOONK 2′ version is an adaptation of the original theme.
I am also posting the full audio track of the song apart from the video which is a cut on a shorter version.

(sorry for disturbing again)
In these days I was thinking: which is the song that has obsessed me?
This one:

It always (and still) fills me with a great happiness (don’t ask me why).
(ok ok: I’m going away. Only wanted to share with you)

Yesterday I posted some links to the most famous music themes taken from Italian horror films – incidentally all directed by Dario Argento -, but I did a mess and couldn’t leave them in your blog. I repeat now.
1 – Profondo Rosso, theme composed by Goblin

2 – Suspiria, theme composed by Goblin

3 – Phenomena, theme composed by Claudio Simonetti

Hope you enjoy. Buon ascolto.

Ramu bhai,
Regarding the character BHEKU MATRE in satya movie ..a caring friend..good leader..doting father.a ruthless killer..we loved his character in a way justified in being bad…when bhiku kills innocents, extorts money we do not conceive him as bad or villianous.but when bhilku got killed.. we all skip a beat..we feel that he has been cheated…the world is not fair….he should not have died..blah blah..not this way…y did we feel like that?..is it because of bringing the character close to audience hearts?
cheers
