RECOLLECTIONS OF THE PAST...
HI RGV,
IS THIS UR FAVORITE GOOD OLD SONG AS PER Mr.NARESH IN THE ARTICLE -"Wrong-Go-Pal-War-Ma" ,
IF IT IS ... ENJOY ONCE AGAIN !
Song: Sandstorm
Artist: La Bionda
Album: La Bionda

http://www.nuttymp3.com/mp3/100978

In the desert there’s a sandstorm
Dust in my eyes in my ears
There’s a rumour of a sandstorm.
Moments of a fear drawing near
Give me shelter from the sandstorm
See how the sun's burning eye
In the sky closes tight
Bringing night while we wait
In the gloom from the sandstorm
Fall to the ground all around
Does wind blow by the sand
Raise your hand to your face
But it can't stop the sandstorm
Sandstorm…
Nowhere to run or to hide
From the fury of the sandstorm
No one can say how much time
We must suffer in the sandstorm
Each of us stands here along
At the mercy of the sandstorm

THIS FAVORITE SONG OF URS HAS ANY INSPIRATION IN YOUR FILMS,
ESP. FOR YOUR - "SPIRIT OF RANGEELA "

Corrigendum ! Sorry ! At # 307 above, spelling of "Dumbstuck" should be read as "Dumbstruck". Then at #310, there is a grammar mistake! In the sentence "....in whose precincts a great Director like you "spent your" early days should be read as "spent his" days ! Sir ! I go on giving my comments / responses, but I never got a response from you !! Sheer injustice ! Bye Sir!

Ramu Sir,

I heard many about you, and even i studied column wrote by u some where like... ur first experience at vijayalakshmi theater with manager after release of Shiva.

One of the admirable thing which i want to learn from you is your camera techniqe as till date after Great "Alfred Hitchcock" i never seen any one who can use camera technique... i found the same sort of technique used by one more director.. he is none other than your Ex-Asst. "Krishna Vamsi Garu".

My favourite scene from your all movies in aspect of Camera Work is Amithabachhan Sir's Waving his hand in Sarkar Raj. If any one asks me what is your favorite movie From Bollywood, my ultimate answer is "Sarkar Raj".

If coming to Telugu movies every one admires your work at Shiva only but i like much more in "Antham" and "Gaayam".

Sir, we(our friends group) egarly waiting out for film like "Sarkar Raj" in our near future.....

Your friend's narration of your Vijayawada life made me nostalgic of my VJA days! I was in VJA from June 1981 to June 1983,working in SAIL. Our office that time was at Benz Circle. I stayed at Mogulrajapuram. My first daughter was then 2-1/2 years old. I didn't have a Scooter or Bike then. I used to go to Alankar Junction in a Riksha (since most Cinema Halls are in the vicinity) all the way from Mogulrajapuram, with wife & daughter to see films at least twice in a week ! Those were the days I enjoyed life fully. Seen many films like .. Radha Kalyanam, Satte Pe Satta, Lawaris, Naseeb,, Mogudu Kavali, Nyayam Kavali, Punnami Nagu, Pilla Jamindar, Prema Kanuka, Saptapati so on and so forth .. Guru Shishyulu, Vooriki Monagadu and some times to see re-releases like Awara, Chori Chori at Maruti and Sesh Mahal in 1 Town. Then in June 1983 back to Kolkata till I returned to Hyderabad in 1989. Reading your Vijayawada days reminds of MGR, the great Actor/Leader. I read somewhere about him that he used to serve Tea to the Owners of Satya Studios in his childhood days and then like in a fairy tale he became the owner of the same Satya Studio. Amazing ! Your life has all the ingredients of a Rags to Riches story ! Your story is equally inspiring! During my next visit to VJA, i will definitely make it to see your Vijayalakshmi Theatre, in whose precincts a great Director like you spent your early days ! Of Course, you had more comfortable and decent life style and education in comparison ! Good Luck, Sir ! Bye for now.

Reading your friend's letter made me nostalgic of my Vijayawada days ! I was in VJA from June 1981 to June 1983 working in SAIL. Our office at that time was in Benz Circle. During lunch time we colleagues used to visit a Kaka Hotel opposite or within the proximity of Kandhari. Onion Pesarattu was very famous. Just for that we used to go there. Used to stay at Mogulrajapuram. The "seven years" itch was not over that time! First daughter was 2-1/2 years old then! I didn't have a Scooter or Bike then. From Mogulrajapuram to Alankar Centre (most of the Cinema Theatres were in that vicinity, as know) used to go by Riksha (Autos were not there that time) with wife & daughter and used to see almost all films. Satte pe Satta, Lawaris, Radha Kalyanam, Saptapadi... many .. Enjoyed my stint at VJA fully ! And then back to Kolkata in 1983 again! Which period of time you studied in Vijayawad. Next time during my visit to VJA, I will definitely make it a point to see Vijayalakshmi Theatre, from whose precincts a great Director like you shaped up /born ! What an inspiring story .. Its almost like Rags to Riches. You have come a long way! I remember reading MGR's story. He said he served tea to the owners of Satya Studio during his childhood days. And one day he became the proud owner of that same Satya Studio ! When we hear such stories like him or yours we feel dumbstuck in amazement !!
